Where have these 10 months gone?

Remember when I was going to update my blog every month of Baylee pictures/Stats
well that crashed and burned.
Remember when I thought I would have the patience and time to do all these cute crafty things
well that never happened
Remember when I thought I would have time to make sure the house was orderly
well I failed at that one
Remember when I thought the weight would just melt off because I breastfeed
well I'm still fat haha

Even though some areas in my life are slacking....
The most important thing has been getting to spend
Everyday with my Baby Girl..... well almost toddler(?) Say it ain't so!
I feel very lucky that my full time job is being a mom to Bay.
I have learned so much about myself.
My patience has grown, I can survive off little sleep,
and I now realize how much love my mom has for me- as I have for Bay.
Cant believe my mom had 7 kids..... she's amazing.
When I find myself complaining- I think about her,
my sister , my sister in laws who have done this many times over.
Man being a mom is hard but I never knew how rewarding it was too.

I want to start blogging and not just about being a mom.....

stay tuned :)

The Story

May 4th
Gardened all day in the hot sun, stocked up on groceries, dog food and other essentials because something in the back of my head told me I should. Complained about how big, swollen, hot and in pain I was ( got sciatic pain 2 days before ). Had a fun dinner on the deck just tim and I - fully enjoying a warm Seattle summer night.
10:30-10:45 ish Bedtime.
11:35pm wake up to what  is either my water breaking or me wetting the bed. Thankfully it's my water breaking. Since I wasn't "feeling" contractions I wasn't quite sure what we should do. So we called my hospital and they told us to come in right away. I take a shower and finish packing my hospital bag and we are on our way.
12:30 am May 5th
Find out my contractions are actually 4 minutes apart but I'm only dilated 2cm- so they said to sleep and they will check again in the morning.
Needless to say I didn't sleep- I watched the Avengers and a few other movies ( that I can't recall right now)
6am-
only 3 cm dilated but still having contractions about every 3-4 minutes
So they start the pitocin....
8 am
4 cm dilated and having fairly strong contractions. I manage to walk around the hospital hoping to help with contractions, etc.
9am
back labor starts and I can barely walk around the hospital this time without getting nausea through every contraction. Back labor sucks
10am
Epideral time! I went as long as I could... That epideral was heavenly. Nap time!

Skipping ahead to the afternoon ( just received more pitocin yada yada )

3pm
Find out I'm 10 cm dilated and it's almost time to push.
Epideral had to "dosed up" 3 times because I could feel everything! Not ok. Finally the 3rd time it worked! Hallelujah!
6:01
After 3 hours of pushing our baby Baylee faith is born healthy and beautiful!

Even though we will now share Cinco De mayo as our birthdays
- I promise not to steal her thunder ;)

1 week

Baby McCarthy is due in exactly 1 week
I keep getting asked the question:
Are you scared?
And to be honest- I haven't even let my mind go there.
I DO know that I'm sure I will be scared, anxious, etc once I'm in that hospital.
Am I ready?
Sure- as ready as ill ever be.
We have everything we need and more...
The house is tidy for the most part....
Her nursery is all set ( even though she prob wont use it for a while)
I can tell you that my body is pretty ready.
Being overweight/swollen is really hard on your body. Now I know....

This past week I have been looking at pictures from when I was little and it's made me more excited to see what she looks like too.

Here's to hoping she comes soon but not on my birthday... Cinco de mayo.

Little B's Nursery

Her nursery is almost complete! Just need to do her crib skirt ( which I think I'll just have my mom work on when she's here).

Almost there.....

39 weeks on Friday.
My doctor has thrown out a few scenerios
where I could get induced on
Thursday, Friday, Monday or who knows....
So now I'm just waiting.
I feel huge, I'm swollen & I think I'm almost ready!
C'mon Baby!
